Doubt From Tests


For the last one i got it via a lengthy method after paper , any shorter methods ?

@Seshank It has 2 chiral centres but total stereoisomers are not 4 , why ?
Ans is 2

Bridge head par chiral does not show stereo. Dono 1 hi show karega isliye (1+1=2)

mere khyal se alag reason hai kuch.My sir told me that when you draw and see the possible geometries you get 2 geometries identical in each case as they appear same when we look from top as when we look from bottom.

Ha bro matlab yahi hai ki agar woh dusra apna image banena ka kosis karega to molecule hi tut jayega

I got it but i did it via a very lengthy method , it was practically not possible to do it in test time constraints For me.

Umm… let me start from scratch ab. Short solution : Only SS or RR compounds are possible. RS, SR isn’t possible. If SR or RS have to be formed then the entire bridge needs to be altered in the opposite sense to facilitate the change in configuration. Thus RS, SR will not exist. However they can be in same direction. It’s hard to explain in words. But Shishir Mittal Sir had explained this very well. Watch this.

bilkul lamba ni hai bro.See break the limits from 0 to pi ,pi to 2pi,2pi to 3pi and 3pi to 4pi.Then substitute t=pi+x in second term t=2pi+x in third term and t=3pi+x in 4th term.You will get all 4 terms identical. The integral will cancel out

Ye hi kiya maine , thoda time lag gaya , Couldnt have done it in the test , thanks agar koi aur method mila toh batana , baki bhi try kar lena
