bro I don’t think so. My reason \rightarrow let’s take both oygens now we can see both of them has same lone pairs and if you thinking that by resonance it’s electron density is increasing, yeah that’s right. But the other oxyegn is getting positive charge with 3 bonds so it’s quite unstable na?

and the other oxygen has alkyl groups with it too so the electron density is increasing on that oxygen due to inductive effect.

I didn’t thought by Reso (Even i did, there will be no change. Coz more stable canonical structure contributes more). I just took that the sp2 O hybridized carbon is more EN than sp3 O hybridized carbon. So, AlCl_3 being a lewis acid, attacks that sp2 oxygen.

I think the question is wrong…this is a slight modification of problems that our sir discussed with us… here note that hydride shift is happening since it is a kinetically controlled reaction…

wait I will show you there are 3 lone pairs and one bond pair for double bonded … so sp3
for that one there are 2 bond pairs and 2 lone pairs …so again sp3
